I am in the middle of the road between attending New York University and a local city university. Same business degree but different universities. Is there really a big difference between the the two?

I’ve had a bad experience with the OU, everything from the tutors, to them charging me for a course I didn’t do. Are there any other distance learning universities that I could continue my study with and maybe use the 100 points I have already earned?
