With the ever increasing graduate Jobs market with more and more recruiters using a jobs board as a way of advertising then there is no doubt that many employers need to consider optimising their vacancies to help fill the position.

There are many job boards elements that could do with tweaking and optimising to help improve conversions however, there are four mandatory elements that needs to be included but most employers fail to consider. These are:

You need to make sure that the graduate jobs you are advertising, the prices charged to the agencies and the response rate from suitable candidates is deemed profitable to both the job boards advertisers and the agencies. If the price charged to the agency outweighs the benefits and more importantly the investment then it is unlikely that they will choose to do business with you again. In order to optimise the conversions you need to identify and match together the graduate jobs ads on the job boards and the relevant candidate as best possible, providing a constant influx of candidates to the employer. By collecting as much useful and relevant information about the candidate you will improve their chance of securing a job that matches there description.

Incentivise businesses

There are many ways you can reward both large and small businesses to encourage repeat business. For businesses where large volumes of graduate jobs are generated you can offer bundles or flat fee arrangements. Bundles usually come in the form of a fixed price for a certain package. Flat fees usually involve unlimited graduate jobs ad placements over a set time. For businesses where fewer graduate jobs ads need to be placed, for every few placed you could offer free advertising.

Offer bonus services

Besides posting graduate jobs ads the job boards can also be used for other reasons that can be deemed beneficial to the agency and candidates. Hosting CV?s for potential employees that are set out correctly, clearly demonstrating key skills and experience will not only help the candidate find a job that will match their skills but the agencies will be able to see that they are getting a steady stream of relevant candidates without having to advertise elsewhere. Full Sail is a for-profit trade school pretending to be a university,. Full Sail does not have regional accreditation. The school has no business offering Bachelor’s degrees.

One of the first keys to getting graduate jobs is to realise that it is different. Your time living life ‘off the hoof’ is over, relative chaos needs to be replaced by discipline and organisation if you are to be successful. To help you get over that first hurdle of actually getting graduate jobs here’s my 5 top tips.

1. Get at least 5 people to proof read your CV

In my experience 8 out of 10 graduates have anything from minor to major mistakes on their CVs. Mistakes which are simply unnecessary and make you look very bad. Spell checks on a computer are good, but there is no substitute for having people proof read your CV. Listen to their comments about layout, grammar and content and adjust accordingly. This document is to help you start the rest of your life, give that little extra effort and it’ll be worth it.

2. Buy yourself a new suit or business outfit

You just can’t underestimate the power of how you look, either positive or negative. For a recent student, you have come from an environment where you quite rightly learn to judge people for who they are not what they look like. Unfortunately this doesn’t apply to business and employment. People will make judgements before you even speak. Whatever they judge can be difficult to undo even once you do start speaking! My advice is dress like you’ve already got the job. A new suit will go along way to getting you off to the start you need to get offered that graduate job before the interview even starts.

3. Research your interviewer.

There are major benefits to knowing your interviewer. Firstly, uncertainty creates stress and nervousness. There’s no greater uncertainty than pondering the person who’s about to grill you. Ask your recruitment consultant to give you as much detail as you can about your interviewer. The better the picture you have, the less uncertain you are, and the less stressful the occasion will be. Secondly, knowing your interviewer may allow you to adapt your approach to his style.

4. Turn up early

It’s a simple one this, but turn up late and you can forget it. Graduate jobs are highly competitive, one slip and you’ll loose out straight away to someone who doesn’t make this mistake. Cut it fine and you’ll be a bag of nerves in the interview. Give yourself plenty of time to find the venue, adjust to the situation and avoid the mental torture of running late.

5. Be yourself

You actually don’t want to land a job because you have successfully persuaded an interviewer that you are something that you are not. Graduate jobs are hard to get, but at the same time you want to get one that’s sustainable and genuinely suits the person you are. Maximise your chances through good research and preparation, but ultimately present yourself as you.

Our British youngsters seem to have disappeared in job sector as number of graduate jobs have declined at a fairly fast speed.Our youngsters aged between 16 and 25 are not the only one’s who are going through a tough time but their parents are suffering too.

Recent studies have shown that the Lost Generation is borrowing money from their parents to cover food, rent and other day-to-day expenses. And due to sky rocketing expenses and taxes, parents have to go an extra mile to help out their children in maintaining their expenses.

This in turn puts pressure on parents’ finances and, according to Channel 4 News, around 35 per cent of mums and dads could be having to scrap together extra cash for their offspring.

University debts were a big hurdle for youngsters trying to borrow money, because the shortage of graduate roles means they cannot afford to pay them off.

Since 2008 the number of unemployed graduates has rocketed and the jobs market has become even more competitive.

Employers have mostly favoured applicants with work experience on their cv and now this is even more important. For Employers, they too don’t want to take any risks with a fresh graduate therefore they try to hire someone who got some experience in the their field.

Fresh graduates feel very pessimistic about their employement future and feel very disheartened at the very fact that their graduate degree is not getting them any work.

A new step has been taken by the Governemt which is a new scheme matching graduates to internships has been launched. The ‘Graduate Talent Pool’ that aims to provide graduates with invaluable work experience by matching them with suitable employers, helping them to boost their skills for employment.

The step taken by the Government surely will help the graduates in finding the right job but a lot more effort is needed to help and guide our young graduates!
