I am 17 and I have my reasons for doing this. I would prefer not to say them, but I need something that is free so I could move on in my life and stop worrying about this highschool stuff. I just can’t wait to start college but I need something to propel into college besides being in high school for the remaining years.

You cannot take the GED online – all the sites offering to do so are scams. They are not offering the real GED and claiming it as a GED on your resume is illegal in many states. Online high schools are businesses, and very few are concerned about whether you actually learned anything – many are simply scams, not education, and none of them are free. But the real GED is cheap in many states (in some it costs less than $10 to take) and only takes a day. Sorry, the only free thing is staying in high school.
