Many local school districts have free GED classes where I am. It’s the test that costs you. It’s not included in the class.

some states have GED classes online.You may want to look into that.Classes are free but you have to pay to take the test!

I suggest you stay away from online GED and any things that are by corresepondence because if you are planning on going to college, many colleges do not accept anything given to you (by correspondence) especially something Like a GED. I know in New York. at all the community colleges. They let you get your GED if you complete 24 credits in certain classes, and then those credits also go towards a degree. But you should really think about college before doing ANY type of college or classes online. Call and check with the college first and ask if they accept diplomas or certificates by correspondence. IF they say yea, go for it. But if they say no. LIke i said, stay away from the online stuff. UNLESS its something where they send you the stuff to study and THEN you have to go personally and physically to go take a test. Because the reason these colleges dont accept these things is because when you do them online. You just study online, and then they just mail you a “GED” but they dont know who really took the test behind the computer screen and theres no way of proving it was you. BEsides the online stuff is much more expensive. Try looking for career training schools in your away. Go to a local high school, and ask for one.
