I have completed BE in CS from one of the top technical institute in bangalore. Am currently employed as software engineer with a reputed IT firm. I would like to do higher studies in the technical field as part time. Heard IIT-C distance learning is good. Will this add value to my profile and help me grow in my career?

No – if it is entirely online.
If it is distance with an on-campus requirement, yes.
Your best path is to get an MBA with night and weekend classes.
